I trained at Central St Martins and Brighton School of Art where I enjoyed reportage and printmaking. During thirty years as a freelance illustrator specialising in watercolours, my family and I moved from London to the countryside of Kent. I continued to develop my work, experimenting with painted ceramic, sculpture and mosaic. However my passion remains printmaking, in particular etching which is now central to my work.
Making art has always been my therapy! After years of working to commission, sourcing my references mainly from photos, I now whenever possible enjoy working from life. Recent themes expressed in my work revolve around family and midlife, exploring feelings of change through figurative images from my everyday life.
I have exhibited in South East Open Studios, Pure Arts, PrintFest7 (awarded the Angela Knowles prize for Intaglio), Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition 2019 at the Mall Galleries and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2019.
I am a member of the ArtSpring Gallery in Tonbridge.
