About the Artist
Following a year's foundation at Central St Martins in London and a degree in illustration at Brighton School of Art, specialising in reportage, I joined Operation Raleigh for 3 months recording their aid work in Kenya. This culminated in an exhibition in Chelsea, London and helped launch a successful career of 25 years working as a freelance watercolour illustrator.
Commissions have included numerous packaging and publishing work, regular features for national magazines and newspapers and a series of stamps for Gibraltar.
Since moving to Kent 13 years ago I have balanced my commercial work with developing other creative impulses, such as painted ceramics, mosaics, stage design and set painting, oil painting and portraiture.
I am now concentrating my creative energy on developing my gallery career, painting what I love most, namely family and friends, food and the local colour! In the spirit of my training, I welcome commissions which I undertake from a mixture of location work and photographic reference.
