Commissioning a piece of art.

Owning a work of art is a pleasurable, enjoyable experience. You may have previously purchased art or have been unsuccessful in finding that right piece. If so, why not commission a work. Commissioning an artist to produce a work of art can be highly rewarding for both parties. The work is personal and unique; it will be specifically produced for you and your requirement

Antonia has worked for over 25 years as an illustrator sourcing most reference for her images from photographs. This experience enables Antonia to work confidently from high resolution (300 or more pixels per inch) digital photographs taken by her at a meeting with the subject, or supplied by the client.

About Giclée Prints - In giclée printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern.  The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting. Giclée (pronounced Gee'clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works.  However, it is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger.  Giclée printers are over a metre wide and are often affectionately referred to as a "knitting machine" as they look very similar.

The process uses special light-fast inks, which, if kept out of the sun, will remain true for over 25 years.  Images are generated using high resolution digital scans of the original and printed, typically using professional 8-Color to 12-Color ink-jet printers, with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper.  The giclée printing process provides better colour accuracy than other means of reproduction and giclée prints are commonly found in museums and art galleries.
